It's been nearly a year since SXSW hosted the U.S. Premiere of Kathryn Bigelow's The Hurt Locker, and we're delighted to report that the film has been nominated for an incredible 9 Oscars, including Best Picture, Directing, Actor in a Leading Role and Writing (Original Screenplay).
We're proud that that passion has followed The Hurt Locker ever since, culminating in these well-deserved nominations.
Also from SXSW 2009, Anders Ostergaard and Lise Lense-Moller's Burma VJ has been nominated for Best Documentary.
We wish both of these fantastic films the very best of luck! Watch what happens on Sunday, March 7, and check out the full list of nominees here.
