Chicago’s Liquid Soul has originated a trademark mixture of jazz and urban dance music. Superceding the term “acid jazz,” they incorporate everything from hard-bop to hip-hop, and after a brief hiatus are back turning heads with highly-acclaimed material for a new record. An ongoing collaboration with DJ Logic has opened new doors for the Grammy award winning band. Billed as Liquid Logic, the artists are working together to explore new horizons of modern music. Their cutting edge live show is an event in itself, infusing contemporary jazz with turn table spontaneity and never taking the same form twice.
