ABOUT KATY MOFFATT and ROSIE FLORES…

Now together, for the first time, with ten years in the making, these two dynamic ladies have finally recorded their first duet project, of mostly original material, produced by rock legend Wendy Waldman. This amazing recording by K/R, hoping to be released in 2005, features musicians Greg Leisz on acoustic and slide guitar, Kenny Edwards on bass and drummer Scott Babcock. Katy Moffatt and Rosie Flores have honed their brand of country influenced roots music by performing periodically, as a duoover the last decade. On the road the pair has been lauded for their lilting vocal harmonies, reflective of The Everley Brothers, and their accomplished musicianship on rhythm and lead guitar.

Moffatt and Flores met in the early 80’s, while working on the compilation album “A Town South of Bakersfield,” with Dwight Yoakam. They quickly established a friendship and mutual respect for each other’s music, songwriting and storytelling capabilities. The songs they have co-created over the years, reflect the strengths and vulnerabilities in all of us and cut straight into our hearts with fearlessness, grit and humor.
