The Rogers Sisters

|
Brooklyn's Rogers Sisters want to make you dance and think at the same time. Debut, [Purely Evil] & fiery follow-up, [Three Fingers], on Troubleman Unlimited, feature a unique blend of 70s new wave/post punk and 60s psychedelia. Toured constantly in US, UK and Europe w/ the likes of The Hives & Fiery Furnaces. The Rogers Sisters are sisters Jennifer (vocals and guitar) and Laura (drums and vocals) Rogers and musician-friend Miyuki Furtado (vocals and bass). Furtado talk-sings in staccato, lean charges, leveling numerals in the command form. Laura is a mighty force on the drums. Jennifer plays a taut, precise guitar and sings with a sassy drawl. “The Rogers come equipped with political fury and wit: they fuse vitriol and limber funk into a single buzz bomb.” — [Rolling Stone Magazine]
