The Hold Steady (ex-Lifter Puller) is an un-Brooklyn, Brooklyn-based band. May 2005 will see the release of "Separation Sunday," the follow-up to 2004's "Almost Killed Me." The latter was recently the recipient of Rolling Stone and Spin magazine's #1 "Best Record You Didn't Hear" of 2004.
