DJ Chill
No DJ is closer to the streets than DJ Chill. After 17 years of breaking hits from clubs to radio, Chill has his finger on the pulse of the Houston music scene.

At age16, DJ Chill started spinning at a local skating rink. After hooking up with the legendary DJ Screw in 1990, the two partners spun together at clubs for the next four years. Chill has worked venues ranging from landmarks like Boomerang, Prime Time, Hustletown, Chocolate Town and T-Town 2000 to class around-the-way spots like Infinity, 808, Soca Village, Faces and LaShawn’s. During this time, Chill has forged a reputation with labels and promoters for giving new records a shot. “The difference with Chill is that he’ll play something out the box,” says Richard Omar of RO Entertainment. “He puts his reputation on the line and on the dance floor. He’ll have a club full of people and play a brand-new record. You can’t beat that.

Chill has been doing mix tape compilations of hits since 1994, and has strong working relationships with Houston’s most important grass-roots retailers, such as Carla Campbell of Stickhorse Records. He also has Mced dozens of performances by the likes of Mystikal, Cash Money Millionaires, Too $hort, Ice Cube, the Fugees, UGK and most recently with Rap-A-Lot recording artist Tela. He has also toured with platinum artist Lil’ Flip.
