Born in Nashville and based in NYC, Laura Cantrell has built a dedicated following on both sides of the Atlantic by combining a love of traditional country and folk music with a modern sensibility that informs a sound both timeless and thoroughly original. She recently completed her third album "Humming By the Flowered Vine," which will be released by Matador Records this Spring, and she continued to host the weekly "Radio Thrift Shop" program on freeform WFMU in Jersey City, NJ.
