An awesome clutch of 8-track demos, and ecstatically-received first single "Cosmopolitan" (NME's Single of The Week last October) helped word about Manchester quartet Nine Black Alps spread like wildfire, from their hometown to London and across to the US. A sound that takes in the best of early 90's US indie rock and mid-60's British pop creates what is going to be a tremendously exciting story. The debut album will be released on Island/Interscope this summer.
