Called "One of the finest songwriters of her generation" by the New York Times, Mann has long been revered for her lyrical talent. USA Today raved "No one in pop makes better records," and Time magazine wondered "how come there aren't more songwriters like you?" Mann has also succeeded in redefining the music industry's traditional record company model by choosing to release her albums on her own record label, as well as coordinate all promotion and marketing functions through her co-operative, United Musicians. In addition to Mann's albums, United Musicians has worked with Bob Mould, Pete Droge and Julian Coryell. Mann's new album, "The Forgotten Arm," will be released this May.
