Otis Taylor is an alternative blues singer/songwriter who is lauded for his poignant lyrics, minimalist instrumentation and progressive style. (think John Lee Hooker meets Malcolm X). Taylor's music follows neither pattern nor trend. He has been praised by New York Times, USA Today, Rolling Stone, Blender, the New Yorker for his songs which relate tales of oppression and social injustice and discuss hard-hitting subjects from his grandfather's lynching to Rosa Parks.
