The Bones
North American fans of real punk ‘n’ roll will finally get to experience the dirty and raw sounds that the rest of the world have been experiencing for years. The Bones bring it real and rough, and once Liquor and Poker Music drop their new record, Straight Flush Ghetto, upon the masses, your outlook on the world of rock music will never be the same. This is a record that must be heard to be believed!

Part Social Distortion and part Motörhead, with a touch of the 1950’s sound of the legendary Sun Records-era, The Bones got together back in ‘96 with an idea to combine the best of rock and punk music’s past and present, creating a totally unique yet familiar sound for today’s fan. Call them punk, rock, rockabilly, indie rock or whatever, this band honestly cannot and will not be pigeonholed into just one category.

Their rise to success in Europe started in 1997 when the band self-released The Horroway E.P. which sold-out in just a month after release. That success quickly prompted the band to jump back in the studio and record a second mini-album, Six Feet Down And Two Fingers Up. During the recording of Six Feet Down and Two Fingers Up, the band were contacted by the German rock label People Like You Records, which quickly signed the band, knowing they had found a true gem. What followed in the summer of 1999 was the band’s first full-length album, the aptly titled Screwed, Blued and Tattooed. The buzz of the release resulted in the band touring all over Europe, gaining new fans wherever and whenever they played. The Bones were rattling the cage, and fans all over Europe could not stop talking about their amazing and energetic stage show.

In 2002, The Bones released their second album, Bigger Than Jesus. The reviews for the record were amazing, and North American fans started to pick up what The Bones were laying down despite no domestic release. With a title and sound that begged to be noticed, the band could not wait to jump back on tour and show the masses of Europe what they do best. The band toured Europe several times and shared stages with the likes of Motörhead, The U.S. Bombs, Dropkick Murphys, Dead Kennedys, The Misfits and The Exploited, to name just a few. The shows immediately became the talk of Europe and fans just could not get enough of the rock ‘n’ roll circus that is The Bones. Amazingly enough, the best was yet to come.

Hot off the road and ready to record more brilliance, the band entered the studio to record what would become Straight Flush Ghetto. Released in Europe in the spring of 2004, Straight Flush Ghetto solidified the band’s dominance in Europe as the band to beat on stage and on record. Hearing the buzz and rave reviews loud and clear, Liquor and Poker Music quickly took notice and just could not resist their raunchy and blistering songs. Thus, Liquor and Poker Music is proud to deal out Straight Flush Ghetto to rabid fans hungry for rock with some meat on its bones. Songs such as “Do You Wanna...” and “ Not A Love Song” are instant anthems without a doubt, and well worth the price of the CD by themselves. Liquor and Poker Music has also added a bonus track, all new artwork and the music video for “Do You Wanna…” as an added treat to all who throw down their hard-earned cash for Straight Flush Ghetto. 16 tracks, legends in the making and a sound that’ll hit you like a ton of bricks is what awaits you on The Bones first ever North American release. Rip it up, ‘cause it’s party time for sure!!!
