THE IMMEDIATE are from Dublin, Ireland. http://www.theimmediate.tv They consist of four young men (with a penchant for instrument swapping) called Peter Toomey, Conor O’Brien, Eoin O’Reilly and David Hedderman. Since releasing their own independent e.p. “Don’t Get Lost” “Critics have praised the band’s “fresh and exciting sound” and “ability to build a great pop song on a kind of chugging, insistent beat” as well as vaguely likening them to The Velvet Underground, Wilco, Radiohead, The Pixies, Franz Ferdinand, and Scott Walker.
