the sundresses is a dirty, raucous 3 piece rock & roll outfit from Cincinnati, Ohio - lighthouse of the underground railroad. the sundresses formed in march 2002 because of makenzie place/ bass, trombone (she's known as the mayor of the sundresses.) the sundresses is her 1st band, and her first attempt at bass playing & theory. the other sundresses are brad schnittger/ drums, guitar, vocals and jeremy springer/ drums, guitar, vocals. the sundresses are attempting to make rock music that ignores the beatles. not in theory, but in practice. the sundresses are not punk rock, indie rock, garage rock or retro rock. the sundresses don’t dress like you or your band. the sundresses are probably louder than your band. the sundresses have a self recorded, self produced cd called the only tourist in town. five bucks, 13 songs. the sundresses have been nominated for 4 City Beat Cincy Entertainment Awards in two years - most recently nominated for Artist of The Year and winning Best Alternative/ Indie. You may have heard the sundresses opening for: the yeah yeah yeahs, t.v. on the radio, unsane, scene creamers (ex make-up), 20 miles (judah bauer), dead meadow, six parts seven, shesus, thee shams, pearlene, the sundresses, oh wait, nevermind.
