Gear Alley has been overhauled. Once the group of gear manufacturers in the Music Trade Show, it has now expanded into its own exhibition complete with a fully rigged stage. Check out this year's exhibitors.

Showcasing artists and registrants will have the opportunity to check out the hottest gear from the world's top manufacturers such as Fender, Korg, Ableton, and Marshall to name a few.

Gear Alley Performance Stage
You can demo gear in a store, but the real test comes when you take it on stage. Why not build a stage? SXSW hosts over 10,000 musicians each year itching to show the world their chops and the Gear Alley Performance Stage allows them to do this on top-of-the-line equipment.

SXSW Showcasing Artist Lounge
The Artist Lounge is the SXSW Showcasing Artist Green Room inside the Austin Convention Center, a cool hangout/meeting spot provided for all SXSW showcasing artists with an artist wristband. Artists get complimentary beverages and snacks and a comfortable setting for relaxing, doing interviews or using the lounge’s computer.
