A full schedule of exciting evening events helps make the SXSW Interactive Festival special and unique.
The informal nature of these evening events make them very conducive for brainstorming new ideas, making
new connections, or just relaxing with interesting people who share similar interests.
SXSW Interactive Festival evening events are free to SXSW Interactive, SXSW Gold and SXSW Platinum badgeholders.
SATURDAY, MARCH 12
Handshake Happy Hour

Milkshake Media and Handwire once again join forces for an unforgettable Handshake Happy Hour. Join us for refreshments, music, silly surprises and -- of course -- loads of Cheetos for the orangest handshakes at all the other parties. The Lucky Lounge is just a short walk from the Austin Convention Center: walk west on 5th Street (away from the freeway), just past Congress.

provides your first big opportunity to hob-nob with your fellow attendees in a relaxed atmosphere. The location
for this get-together is frog design, site of some of the most spectacular evening events of SXSW past. Stay

2005 SXSW Web Awards Ceremony

The Web Awards Ceremony is the centerpiece of evening events at the SXSW Interactive Festival. For 2005, we'll have a new and improved pre-party food and beverage setup. The ceremony itself will also have a slightly different flavor as compared to past events, as standup comedian and former "Unscrewed with Martin Sargent" co-host Laura Swisher will bring her wacky sense of humor to the role of emcee. The SXSW Web Awards are presented by Style Master.
