The story follows a frustrated transsexual wannabe rock star, Hedwig - formally known as Hansell. In a bid to find love and stardom, Hedwig encounters the bad side of showbiz. Graphically depicted, musically enhanced, "Hedwig and the Angry Inch", is defined though film and animation.
